Planting and Border Design
We design and plant borders across East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire. We understand that choosing the right plants is crucial for creating a beautiful outdoor space, and will take time to understand your preferences and help you select the perfect plants for your garden.
We will start with a site visit and produce a moodboard and visuals to ensure our ideas align with you. A detailed planting plan showing species, locations and quantities will be produced.
3D concept images are also supplied, helping to "put you" in the garden and visualise the space. These drawings will help to show how the planting will look once it's matured and the different focal points that will be created.
Every garden is different and we will consider factors like light, soil, and water requirements. We can enhance privacy with our planting plans and ensure your garden will provide seasonal interest year-round.

After an initial discussion, we will put together our proposal along with a timescale for our design work. We offer a thorough service with sensible fixed pricing, proportionate to the scale of the project.

Once we’ve produced the planting plan, we can source each plant for you and our team can carefully install them as part of our soft landscaping service.

With every project, we will carry out a site assessment. This is our opportunity to look at the garden in detail, take measurements, test the soil, and discuss any existing issues you may have such as drainage and "shadier" areas.
We follow the principle of "right plant, right place" and as a Yorkshire garden design studio we know the region well and what plants will thrive in certain conditions.
No garden is truly "maintenance-free", but we can certainly look at "lower maintenance" planting if that is your preference.
When we look after your planting, we will produce a bespoke aftercare booklet that tells you how to look after your new garden, in a jargon-free way. We will give you simple steps to follow as seasons change and as your garden matures.
We love seeing clients use their booklet to help them look after their new garden. We are equally happy to help clients find a local gardener and we can offer aftercare visits for those who wish to keep us involved once the transformation is complete.
