Transforming your garden is a chance to enhance your home, shape the way you use your outdoor space, and create somewhere that truly reflects your lifestyle. But for many homeowners, it can be hard to know where to begin:
That’s where we come in.
Our aim is to remove the uncertainty and design a garden that feels balanced and personal to you. Through a well-structured design process, we guide you from the first conversation right through to the final handover.
Based in Beverley, we create and manage beautiful gardens across Hull, Swanland, North Ferriby, Hessle, Kirk Ella, Howden and surrounding East Yorkshire villages. Every element is carefully thought through, how the garden flows, the materials and textures that bring character, planting, lighting, and the finishing touches.
The result is a garden that works effortlessly with your home, adds value, and gives you confidence in every stage of the process.
We work with homeowners in Hull and East Yorkshire to create outdoor spaces that feel effortless and beautifully considered.

Please reach us at office@emilyjoydesign.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We begin with an initial consultation and site visit, then proceed to our survey stage. We’ll produce mood-boards and an initial design, before detailed 3D drawings, planting plans and technical drawings.
We’ll help you appoint a landscaper and can look after the planting ourselves. Read more here or contact us for a chat.
That’s a good reason to bring in expert help. A good garden designer will assess soil, light, drainage and layout, then recommend plants, materials and produce a design that will thrive and overcome any challenges on site.
We’re accredited by the APL so you can rest assured we’re tested to a high standard on design, technical and horticultural knowledge.
Yes. If your garden layout works but the borders need structure, colour, or interest, we can create a bespoke planting plan and make sure it’s planted carefully with our in-house soft landscaping team.
We’re local and understand the soil conditions in areas like Hull, Kirk Ella, Swanland, Howden or North Ferriby.
Costs vary depending on the size and complexity of your garden, but we will always offer a fixed design fee once we understand your project. We understand the costs of suppliers and landscapers in Hull, Swanland, Hessle, and nearby areas and can advise you. Contact us for a no obligation chat.
