A beautifully designed garden is an investment that will add real value to your home.
You wouldn't carry out an extension or significant works on the inside of your property without employing an architect, it's the same for your garden and involving a garden designer.
We look at the whole garden, from hard landscaping to planting and can offer suggestions to help meet your budget.
How much will my garden cost?
We understand that it's difficult to know "how much things should cost". We can help cut through the unknowns and advise you.
Every project is different, we've worked on "front gardens" that are around £10,000 to projects that are £100,000+.
For our full design service (e.g. hard landscaping, planting, lighting) we tend to say it's worth involving a garden designer if you're spending £20k+. We have included some rough costings for previous gardens here, but we're always happy to chat about your garden.
If you're just looking at "soft landscaping and planting", costs will depend on choices and maturity. We've worked on "planting only" projects from under £1,000 to £40,000+, it's. a sliding scale, proportionate to the size of your project.
If you're looking at hard landscaping, a very rough figure of £200-£250 per square metre should achieve quality work such as patios, paving and pathways. There will be areas lower than this figure (e.g. a lawn area), or significantly higher for more bespoke elements. Access to your property, material choices, ground conditions, and your location will impact hard landscaping costs.
Throughout the design process we will always try to provide "estimated costs" for any build work, to help remove any surprises as best as possible. We offer a no obligation "initial call", so please do get in touch if you'd like to chat about your project.
How much do we charge?
If you're looking to work with an accredited garden designer that offers a thorough service, we are confident that you will find our design services to be competitively priced. We are often a small portion of the overall cost of transforming your garden and we offer fixed fees so there is no "percentage" or "charge by the hour" uncertainty for you.
Whilst we understand price is a big factor and designers fees can vary, we always suggest taking time to see if you feel like your designer is a right fit for your project. Most people choose to work with us as they feel excited and reassured by our style, process, and how we approach projects, whatever their size.
Our full design service starts from £2,000+VAT for a small garden and if you're just looking for a planting plan as a standalone service, these start from £600+VAT dependent on the size of the planting beds. We also offer garden design advice from £200+VAT per hour.
