We are a Beverley-based garden design studio led by Emily Joy. We work with a range of clients across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and further afield.
Transforming your garden is a journey, and we’re here to make it a lasting investment that brings you joy for years to come. We will take time to understand your vision and add value to your project through our bespoke garden design, planting plan, or advice services.

We offer a complete garden design service for Malton and North Yorkshire area. Trust us to create a considered plan that takes your garden from ideas to a completed design.

We create detailed planting plans and concept drawings, and once everything is agreed, our team can take care of sourcing and planting for you.

If you don't need full design, we offer garden design advice packages that give you inspiration and things to consider for your new garden.
Our bespoke garden design service takes a collaborative yet structured approachL
Initial Consultation
We begin with a site visit and conversation about how you’d like your garden to feel and function. It’s also a chance to explore any uncertainties or ideas.
Site Assessment
We return to carry out a detailed site assessment. This includes measuring the garden, understanding levels, drainage and existing features, and identifying both opportunities and constraints.
Concept and Developed Design
Back in the studio, early ideas start to take shape. We draw the garden in CAD and start developing concepts. We work collaboratively, meeting with you as the design evolves into detailed 3D visuals.
Border Design & Planting Plans
We produce detailed planting plans tailored to your garden’s conditions and your personal style. You’ll receive a full list of plants, their suggested positions and supporting imagery to help you visualise the finished borders.
Technical Planning
We then prepare technical drawings and construction information for the build. These documents are shared with our trusted landscapers for quoting and ensuring the garden is built to a very high standard.
Plant Sourcing & Installation
After any hard landscaping is complete, our in-house team can source and plant everything for you. We provide guidance as the garden matures.
Malton and the surrounding North Yorkshire countryside offer a landscape with real character, a mix of rolling farmland, historic market town charm and open views. Whether you’re working with a generous country plot or a more contemporary garden in town, our approach is the same.
We take the time to understand how you want to use your garden and what will enhance your home and lifestyle. From layout to planting, every element is designed so the space feels balanced, timeless and provides interest throughout the seasons.
If you’re planning a garden redesign in Malton or the nearby villages, we’d be happy to discuss your ideas and explore how we can help shape your new garden.

Yes, we have trusted contacts in the area and can either recommend a landscaper or work with your preferred contractor.
Yes. If you're just looking to have your planting beds looked at, we can help. We can assess existing planting, discuss new borders, and carry out soft landscaping in-house.
Definitely. Some Malton and Norton gardens are more exposed or open to the elements. We can use planting, screening and design techniques to create shelter without blocking any key views.
Much of North Yorkshire, including parts of Malton, has clay-based soils. We assess your site carefully and choose plants and materials that work with the conditions, not against them. Good design, soil preparation and appropriate planting choices will be important.
The best place to start is with a chat with our friendly team. We’ll be able to give you an idea of costs and learn more about your aims. We can then visit your garden and agree on the brief.
