Emily Joy Garden Design specialises in bespoke garden design and soft landscaping services across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and further afield.
Our soft landscaping process includes:
Plant sourcing
We have established relationships with trusted nurseries accross the UK to secure the best quality plants for your garden.
We can work from an existing planting plan, or if you've hired us to design your new borders, we can source everything from that.
Planting service
Once your plants are ordered, we will arrange delivery.
If you have hard landscaping work taking place, we will liaise with your landscaper to ensure that planting takes place seamlessly.
We will check all of the stock and once everything is set in the correct position by Emily, our in-house soft landscaping team will carefully plant everything for you.
Bespoke aftercare booklet
We will produce a bespoke printed aftercare booklet that details all of your plants and how to care for them throughout the seasons.
It's jargon-free and simple to follow, whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started.
We know from experience that our clients love to use the booklet to get stuck in to maintaining their garden themselves or to hand over to their gardener.
As seasons change and as your garden matures we will be on hand to visit. We recommend booking in 2-3 visits in the first two years of your new garden.

If you’d like to completely transform your garden, we're here to help with our Bespoke Garden Design Service.
Through this service, we follow a thorough process that ensures the investment in to your garden will provide you joy for years to come. This process suits every garden type, whether it is a small garden, a large estate garden, an urban courtyard, or any other outdoor space.
We also provide a Planting & Border Design Service for clients who want us to look at new or existing borders. We will work with you to create a bespoke planting plan that's appropriate for your outdoor space whilst providing year-round visual interest.
Garden design advice is also available with Emily, who can advise you on areas such as planting, styling, layout and materials. Our advice packages suit clients who don't require a design or drawing service at the moment, but would still like to consult a garden designer.
